Meet the artist
This show has given me the opportunity to feature some of the work that has been my focus for the last 50 years. I have always been interested in the landscape in one form or another. Growing up as a rural Indiana boy provided my attraction to the Hoosier landscape. A visit to the east coast in the mid 1970’s set me on a course to return again and again to paint Maine harbors and coastlines. My early watercolor was geared to realistic details, but over the years I have transitioned toward a more impressionistic approach. In more recent years I have also ventured into mixed media painting, incorporating acrylics and other water media. Thanks for taking the time to view the paintings and sharing my experiences.
