The Influence of Artist Richard Schmid

Works by Master Painter Richard Schmid (1934-2021) and Local Artist Libby Givan Whipple
Visitors will see sixteen works by Schmid, in a variety of mediums, including quintessential examples of his oil paintings. Artist Libby Givan Whipple, who created the Stories of Hendricks County paintings for Hendricks Live, will exhibit sixteen paintings illustrating her personal stories of Hendricks County, and she will share how Schmid influenced her art through his books, articles, videos, and seminars.
The exhibition will be in the lobby of Hendricks Live! located at 200 W. Main St., Plainfield, Indiana. Admission is free and accessible during regular hours of the Plainfield Government Center (attached to Hendricks Live), Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm, and during ticketed performances at the Hendricks Live! theater.
