Join Us for an Evening of Arts, Entertainment, and Philanthropy

Please join us for an evening of arts, entertainment, and philanthropy as the Plainfield Youth Assistance Program is excited to announce our 2nd annual fundraiser, Performances For a Purpose on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the new Hendricks Live! Performing Arts Center in Plainfield. This is a night that will feature The Cosmic Situation and musicians, Sara Phoebe and Eric Pagels.  The unique event will also include desserts, spirits, and a silent auction. Our focus is to raise funds to continue developing youth program opportunities, raise awareness of PYAP, and recruit volunteers. We look forward to sharing the evening with you!

Doors open at 6pm for silent auction, desserts, and spirits!

    THE COSMIC SITUATION
The Cosmic Situation is an Indianapolis based band with 10 albums on iTunes and Spotify that combine rock n roll, soul, and R&B into a cohesive sound. The band plays upwards of 100 shows a year while Brandon plays his “one man band” show locally when the band is not playing. Follow them on Facebook, Spotify, TikTok and Instagram.
    SARA PHOEBE
Sara Phoebe has been a singer in the Indianapolis area for almost 20 years, specializing in blues and rock. Music has always been a passion, but it became a serious pursuit during college at Indiana University, where she joined the African American Choral Ensemble under the direction of Dr. James E. Mumford. After graduating from IU, Sara began working at the world-famous Slippery Noodle Inn, where she had the opportunity to perform alongside some of the best musicians in the Midwest. This journey led to joining her first band (Phoebe & The MojoMakers) that was featured on the Live at the Slippery Noodle Inn – 50th Anniversary album. Now, Sara performs regularly with multiple bands and musicians, bringing energy and soul to every stage. A graduate of Plainfield High School, she currently resides in Avon with her husband and two children.
    ERIC PAGELS
Growing up as a classically trained pianist, Eric Pagels is inspired by the sounds of rock, country, pop, and Christian music, including the worship songs of his local ministry in Plainfield, Indiana. When Eric’s grandfather passed away during his freshman year of college, he channeled his grief into writing powerful songs that blend patriotic imagery and themes of faith with his sincere, emotive vocals. In his debut EP, Eric’s thoughtful approach to Christian music delivers a sonic experience that connects with listeners on a personal level. Drawing from classic influences like the Eagles, Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, and David Gray, Eric’s piano-driven melodies convey vulnerable authenticity and emotional depth.
