Visitors will see sixteen works by Schmid, in a variety of mediums, including quintessential examples of his oil paintings. Artist Libby Givan Whipple, who created the Stories of Hendricks County paintings for Hendricks Live!, will exhibit sixteen paintings illustrating her personal stories of Hendricks County, and she will share how Schmid influenced her art through his books, articles, videos, and seminars.

“I hope the visitors who come to the Hendricks Live! will be reminded what a great place Hendricks County is,” says Whipple. “I’m a firm believer in the power of art to tell stories and bring people together.”

Libby Givan Whipple’s paintings are now in permanent collections at the Indiana State Museum and the Indiana Heritage Arts in Nashville, Indiana.
