    Andy Falco and Travis Book Bring Jerry Garcia’s Music to Life Live

    Andy Falco (guitar) and Travis Book (upright bass), two core members of Grammy-winning bluegrass trailblazers The Infamous Stringdusters, strip things down to the essentials for an unforgettable duo performance celebrating the legendary music of Jerry Garcia.

    What started as loose backstage jam sessions has evolved into a full-fledged project that dives deep into Garcia’s world, reimagining Grateful Dead classics, Jerry’s solo material, and the timeless traditional tunes he loved. With only guitar, bass, and soaring vocal harmonies, the music becomes raw, daring, and completely alive in the moment.

    “Performing this music as a duo lets us explore the songs and jam in a way that’s totally unique,” says Book. “These tunes are usually heard with big ensembles, but with just bass and guitar, it becomes more interactive and spontaneous with the audience.” Falco adds, “It started as a fun way to loosen up before Stringdusters shows. Now we get to share that joy with everyone.”
